Terms and conditions
Last updated 14 October 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Emfad Enterprise Limited, trading as EMFAD Courses, a company incorporated in Kenya. In these terms, "we", "us" and "EMFAD Courses" mean Emfad Enterprise Limited; "you" means the person who places an order or uses a course.
2. What we sell
We sell online access to self-paced, written courses. Each course contains written lessons with practical exercises, a quiz at the end of each module and a final project. When you complete every lesson and pass every module quiz with 70% or more, you can download a certificate of completion from EMFAD Courses.
Our courses do not include videos, live classes, tutoring or marking of your project. Your certificate is a certificate of completion issued by EMFAD Courses.
3. Products and access periods
- Single module: lifetime access to the lessons and quiz of that one module of a course. A module on its own does not lead to a certificate.
- Single course: lifetime access to that course.
- Learning path: lifetime access to the courses listed on the path at the time you buy it.
- Career track: lifetime access to the courses listed on the track page at the time you buy it (courses still in development are not included; when they open the track price rises, buyers keep the price they paid, and the new courses are not added to a track already bought), a capstone project brief and, when every included course and the capstone are complete, a track certificate of completion.
- Track team pack: a career track for the stated number of named learners, each with lifetime access to its courses, and a monthly progress report by email to the team admin.
- EMFAD All Access: 12 months of access to every available course and to every course added during those 12 months.
- EMFAD for Teams: 12 months of All Access for the number of named learners (seats) you buy, plus a monthly progress report by email to the team admin.
"Lifetime access" means access for as long as you keep your learner account and we offer the course online. If we ever stop offering a course you have bought, we will give you at least 90 days' notice by email so you can finish it.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars (USD) and include all taxes where applicable. Your bank may apply its own conversion fee. When you buy a full course, we credit USD 10 for each module of that course you already own; the credit is shown as a separate line at checkout and never takes the price below zero. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order; our server checks every price and you are told if anything has changed before you continue. After you place your order we email you payment instructions within one working day; your access starts as soon as payment is confirmed.
Accepted payment methods: payment using the instructions we email you after you order.
5. Your order
You must be 18 or over to place an order, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not sell to people or organisations in countries or territories subject to comprehensive international sanctions.
When you place an order we email you an order confirmation with a reference. A contract is formed when we confirm your payment and grant access. We may decline an order, for example if a payment cannot be verified, in which case anything you paid is returned in full.
6. Your account and use of the courses
Each purchase or seat is a licence for one learner. Your access is personal: keep your sign-in links confidential, and do not share them or copy, resell or publish course material. A Teams seat is for one named learner; the team admin may ask us to move a seat to a different person if someone leaves the organisation.
7. Refunds and cancellation
Our refund and cancellation policy forms part of these terms.
Cancellation of All Access and Teams
All Access and Teams are single payments for 12 months. They do not renew automatically and nothing recurring is ever charged. When the 12 months end, access ends unless you choose to buy again.
8. Course content
We work to keep lessons accurate and current, and we update them over time. Course material is general education, not professional, legal, tax or financial advice for your situation. Where a figure depends on your country or changes over time, the lessons tell you to check it with the official source.
9. Our responsibility to you
If a course is faulty or not as described, we will fix it or refund you under our refund policy. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law that applies to you.
10. Complaints and governing law
Please tell us first if anything goes wrong; see our complaints procedure. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
